I have 2 years of experience teaching the beginning levels of Russian to English speaking adult students at Florida State University in Tallahassee, Florida, and currently live in Tbilisi, Georgia. Though not a native speaker of Russian, having learned the language has given me experience in overcoming issues encountered while learning the language. I've studied Russian at Moscow State University, in addition to Florida State University, and intensive, immersive Russian programs in Kyrgyzstan and Georgia.
In my experience, the beginning levels of a language are best taught by someone who has learned the language themselves, not a native speaker, as long as they learned it well. Non-native speakers are able to identify, and understand learning blocks, and know strategies to help students to get over them.
Hours and rate are negotiable.
I hope you will consider my proposal along with those of native speakers!
Спасибо большое!
