I am looking for a proofreader for my novel, which is approximately 84,000 words long. The book is a kind of comparative religions story about 5 souls who have passed on and arrive in what can best be described as a waiting room of sorts. They all assume they are there for the same reason, so they start sharing their life stories from their time on earth. We come to find out one is Christian, one Buddhist, one Muslim, one Jewish, one Hindu. At the beginning of each chapter, I cite a passage from the Bible, the Torah, the Bhagavad Gita, the Quran, and the teachings of Buddha.
I need someone fairly well-versed in the Islamic faith as i have already received feedback from the other 4 faiths. I need 2 things:
1) Are the verses I've cited from the Quran taken out of context? or are they representing the topic accurately?
2) Is the character I created for the Islamic faith a believable character?
The book is 20 chapters long with 180 pages on a Word Document. This really shouldn't take long if you have the time. In addition to the $50, I will also give editorial credit in any way you prefer in the book.
The project should be completed within a month. The ideal candidate should be able to meet deadlines and have excellent attention to detail. Experience in proofreading novels or other long-form fiction writing is highly preferred.
