Hi Freelancers I need to understand how PHP Gettext translations work: So i need a working demo set up so i can study how you did it. The guides out there is pretty simple, and only contain a few lines of codes, but i simply cant get it working myself. So any smart guys out there who can put this up so i can see how its done? Hi Im trying to set up a basic test site to play with these GETTEXT translation method. I already used POEDIT with wordpress translations, and i like how easy it is to translate. So in order to add this to my own websites i create, i will need to learn how to use it. Ive tried following this: But its not working, i have it displaying the text strings, ive created the .po and .mo files succesfully and it reads my strings, but i just dont know how to define those top variables, textdomain, domain and bindtextdomain etc. Hopefully some of you can help?
We've a site, now bi-lingual (english-italian) and we want to add German language. We have a file for gettext with 1300 sentences, some in english, some in italian. We also have 300 sentences on database (name of categories and objects). And then 20 email texts, ten lines long each. We also have Terms and Privacy to translate, but it can be considered out of this project.

I have a website which is internationalisation-ready, i.e. I have extracted all text into a separate document that is ready for text translation (it's gettext / .po file if you're interested). I need someone to simply translate the text from within the file. There is about 24KB worth of text to translate and it needs to be in professional German. The translator should be IT-competent and the site is web-hosting related (although they need not know much about web-hosting themselves). No huge rush to complete this, but ideally within 2 weeks.

We've build a multi language wordpress homepage for a hotel based on HotelPress Theme (dailywp).
